I found it hysterical a few years ago, when few women wrote a book entitled "The Rules". I do not know what they had thought they knew all there was to know about the meetings, and it was even funny when I heard what was in the book. Even if there are things that are common sense in any dating situation, there are no rules of dating that will work for everyone. I was married a long time and have not dated since long before I met my husband, but I know that this is true. I suspect that many people who have received this book ends very disappointed.
The rules of dating that there are not many rules. Guidelines could be a better way to go, but you should never say that you know the rules of dating. You can say that you need to wait some time to call someone back, or never kiss on the first date, but things will not work for everyone. Every person on this planet is unique, and the situation that arises between two of these people is also unique. Worse, women who have followed these rules dating were marked as hopeless. Many men would run in the other direction if they never suspected any girl was reading a book that told them how to snare him for life. Not everyone is ready for this, and no book on the rules of dating is going to change for anyone. There are people who are not ready to get married, but they are dating and meeting new people. There is nothing wrong with that as long as they are honest about where they are in their lives
